Congratulations on saying ‘Yes’!
There are so many exciting times ahead for you and your fiancé/e… But when should you start shopping for your wedding dress?
Let’s find your perfect dress…
But where to start?
First Things First…
Setting your wedding date and venue before shopping for your wedding dress is best. This allows you to envisage how you want your wedding day to ‘look’. It will also give you and your stylist a better idea of what styles might suit best for the season and for the style of your wedding.
Finding Your Dream Dress…
The hunt to find your dream dress is one of the most exciting parts - but it can also be overwhelming and nerve-racking for some.
Research the styles of dresses and designers you like; what stores stock these styles and designers?
Research the bridal boutiques you are interested in online before booking an appointment, this will allow you to understand what styles each store stocks and their price ranges. Visting too many stores will just confuse you - so only choose a selected few stores.
When To Start Shopping?
We would recommend booking your bridal appointments 10-12 months prior to your Wedding Day.
Booking your appointment too early may leave you feeling overwhelmed with options. However, you don’t want to leave it too late that you feel rushed and don’t get to enjoy the experience.
Most of our designers take 6-7 months to create your perfect gown and have it delivered to our boutique. Alterations can take a further 8 weeks when the dress arrives.
Any dresses requiring delivery under 4 months will incur a rushed order fee and full payment will be required before ordering.
All orders require 50% deposit at the time of order. Payment plans are available throughout the order. Full payment must be made before collection.
Sample Sizes…
We would love to have sample gowns in all sizes but most of our sample gowns are between sizes 10-16 with the majority of dresses being a size 12. We are able to request some of the dresses in different sizes from our designers - so if there is a certain dress you would like to see in a particular size please email us and we can see if it is available.
Don’t let a sample size put you off trying on a dress, we have many tricks to be able to show you how the dress will look when created in your size.
Once you have found ‘The One’ we will take your measurements and once the deposit has been paid, your order will be placed with the designer.
We will be able to give you an estimated delivery date for your gown - we recommend booking your seamstress for shortly after this date.
You can then sit back and relax...
We will be in contact as soon as your dress arrives and we will get you booked in to the boutique to view your fabulous wedding gown.
